What are the types of skates?

Quad Skate It is a short and lightweight skate with two wheels in the form of a shoe at the front and at the back. It is a nostalgic type of skate that many of us have tried at least once in the 80s. In addition, Quad Skating has contributed to the discovery of the Longboard sport, where Surfers can surf on land by attaching Quad Skate wheels to the bottom of their surfboards when they cannot find waves. If you look carefully, the sub-equipment of Quad Skates is very similar to the Longboard truck system. But the logic of balance is not the same. Although it is not preferred much today, it is a type of skate that will have the least balance problem, but its maneuverability is lower than today's skates.

Fitness Skating It is mostly used for sports. In areas such as the coastal road, gliding on flat surfaces is considered ideal for starting. We can say that skate boots are more comfortable than other types of skates.

Urban Skating In addition to fitness skates, it also allows use on roads and more rough surfaces. It can be used in the beginner stage if desired, but it would be a better practice to switch to urban skating after taking fitness skates for the first experience and making some progress. Since the wheel spacing of Urban skates is narrower than that of Fitness skates, it is more difficult to balance.

Speed Skating It is designed to go as fast as possible. Its wheels are larger than other types of skates. Not suitable for the initial stage.

Slalom Skating It is used to quickly slalom through the cones lined up on the ground at certain intervals. Slalom skates have high maneuverability and do not have heel brakes. Not suitable for the initial stage.

Aggressive Skating It is especially ideal for sliding on ramps and handrails. It is also suitable for jumping from high places. It has small wheels. The purpose of using small wheels is to resist impacts, but at the same time, more effort is required to accelerate than large wheels. For this reason, it is not suitable for use on the beach for sports.

Skating Tools and Specifications

Skate Frame
It is the name given to the part where the wheels are attached. The wheels are attached to the Frame with shafts. These are called 'Axles'. The frame is attached to the boot with two screws, one from the front and one from the back. This is also called 'Frame Bolt'. Frames of especially aggressive skates can be replaced with urban, aggressive or slalom Frames and used for multiple purposes.

Skate Brake
The brake allows the skater to stop and slow down by moving their foot. Learning to do the heel brake is vital for beginners. It is usually mounted on the heel of the right skate. Slalomists and aggressive skaters generally do not use the heel brake because it impairs their mobility for advanced skaters.

Skating is a great way to socialize🥳
It is possible to meet many new people by skating. Skating tours, events and skateparks are the places where skaters are the most. Besides, you can find skating friends around you by writing to groups on social media. If you're just getting started, don't be afraid to ask questions to the skaters. We are sure that everyone will help you unless otherwise
